Ani Prasad has a New Zealand Diploma in Dance and has participated in various dance style courses and workshops throughout her career.  She has been a dance teacher for 22 years and has enjoyed being involved in many performance opportunities   

Ani has been a licensed Zumba® instructor for over eight years and has completed many Zumba® Instructor Training Workshops including Basic 1, Basic 2, Zumba® GOLD, Zumba® Toning, Pro Skills and Zumba® Kids.  Ani has also attended the International Zumba® Convention in the USA in 2010 and 2018.  

Kanikani means "to dance" in Te Reo Maori.  It was one of the very first words she spoke as a toddler.  She would point to the radio and yell "kanikani".  Ani is Ngati Porou and very proud of her combined Spanish and Maori heritage.
